Donation Policy

Stampede Lacrosse is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax‑exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN: 33‑1371472). Contributions are tax‑deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.​

Purpose of donations

Donations support our mission to:

Empower student-athletes at Howard University and underserved youth across the DMV to break generational barriers in lacrosse, fostering holistic development, leadership, and lasting community impact by building championship-caliber teams and actively connecting with youth to open doors for the next generation. We aim to increase access and diversity in the sport of lacrosse.

Unless otherwise clearly designated, donations are considered unrestricted and may be used where they are needed most across our programs, operations, and capacity building.
Restricted and designated gifts

If you choose to designate your gift for a specific program or purpose, we will make every reasonable effort to honor your intent. If a program is fully funded, discontinued, or if honoring a restriction is no longer practical or consistent with our mission, Stampede Lacrosse may reallocate the funds to a closely related purpose or to the area of greatest need.

For each donation, we provide a receipt that includes:

Our EIN (33‑1371472)

The date and amount of the donation

A statement that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the donation, if applicable​
Donors may request a summary of their annual giving for tax or personal records by contacting us.

Recurring donations
If you set up a recurring (monthly or annual) donation:
Your selected payment method will be charged automatically according to the schedule you choose

You may change or cancel your recurring donation at any time by following the instructions in your confirmation emails or contacting us directly

Donor privacy and recognition
We respect donor privacy and follow the practices outlined in our Privacy Policy. We may publicly recognize donors (for example, in reports or on our website), but you may request to remain anonymous at the time of your gift.

We do not sell or trade donor information.
